Do you like Green Eggs and Ham? You will find out on January 14, because that is what will be served at the Optimist Club of Byron Breakfast meeting, featuring Growing Chefs. There will be something for all ages, so please bring a guest, kids or grandkids. Cost $6 per person (Libro will donate the groceries, with proceeds to Growing Chefs) Menu “Green” scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausage (the “green” colour will be the result of a healthy Pesto type mixture) RRSP Before January 9, 2017 by responding to this email with number (please let us know how many kids vs adults) Following the Breakfast: • Andrew Fleet, Executive Director of Growing Chefs, will do a demonstration of making the green mixture used to make the eggs green – each child will take home a small jar of the mixture; • The children will have “Green Eggs and Ham” read to them by Optimist Heather Hines while Andrew does a presentation to the Optimists and adult guests. Growing Chefs is a registered Charity based in London Ontario. Their mission is to get kids excited about wholesome healthy food! They do this by uniting chefs, growers, educators and community members in children’s food education projects.
